Otto's German Bistro
Otto’s German Bistro opened in July 2013, introducing farm-to-table German cuisine to the Texas Hill Country. We are dedicated to sourcing from local, independent farms and ranches as well as artisan producers from near and far. Our beverage program reflects our love for German and Austrian wines, craft beers, and creative cocktails.
Our culinary team, lead by Düsseldorf native Chef Henry Gutkin, creates a seasonally focused menu made up of modern interpretations of traditional German and Austrian cuisine. We aim to provide our guests with a convivial setting in which to enjoy a thoughtfully composed dining experience served by a team of dedicated, detail-oriented staff.
Tubby's Ice House
Tubby's Ice House is a neighborhood burger and taco joint that offers indoor and outdoor seating. Beverage options from our full bar include handcrafted margaritas, beer, wine, and our famous Frosé! Tubby's family friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff make everyone feel like a local. Feeding a crowd? We offer customizable catering packages for gatherings of any size.
Located two doors down from Otto's German Bistro, La Bergerie is a market and wine bar showcasing a curated selection of boutique wines, house-made charcuterie, locally baked breads, artisanal cheeses, craft beers, and hand crafted home goods. Our small plate and wines by the glass menu is composed seasonally to create a unique sense of place centered around an Old World approach to food and wine paired with Hill Country hospitality. La Bergerie regularly hosts winemakers from near and far for special events that range from casual afternoon wine tastings to one-of-a-kind wine dinners.
Our coffee story began in back in 2011 when Daniel Raymer roasted his first batches of coffee on the stake bed of an old 1946 Ford truck. Daniels’ original Ranch Road Roasters honored the scenic back roads around Fredericksburg with each roast and global origin sharing its own individual story from their aroma to the profile of the palate.
In the Fall of 2018, Caliche Coffee was born as Daniel generously shared his wisdom and personal coffee roasting tricks with us as we renovated a historic building on the west end of Main Street to be a welcoming community hub for Fredericksburg.
